Who Should Apply

Interns high fiveAnyone who wants to advance their academic and career goals.  An internship program is great for undergraduate students, graduate students, and international students, as well as people who already have graduated and want to further improve their resume.

Program Dates and Length

The internship component of the program is full-time, 32 to 40 hours per week. You choose when you want to start and the length of your internship (4 to 24 weeks). While you are welcome to apply at any time, for the best experience we recommend starting the process at least 3 months in advance of your desired start date. Please note, in-person program dates and lengths vary by location and by the type of visa you may require.

Application and Internship Placement Process

  1. Apply - Fill out our short application form, attach your resume/CV, and schedule an online interview with our Admissions team. Applying is fast and free.

  1. Connect with The Intern Group's Admissions Team - Similar to an advising session, we will discuss your internship and career goals, and the program timing and structure that best suits your professional and personal needs. Come prepared to talk about your background and goals. During this process we will review your application and determine your eligibility to participate in the program.

  1. Receive your decision - Within 1-3 days, we will send you our admissions decision. If you are accepted into the program, you can confirm your enrollment by submitting a deposit toward the program fee.

  1. Begin the Internship Placement Process - Once you are enrolled in the program, our placement team will create a professional profile for you and share it among our network of host organizations to find an internship opportunity that matches your goals. You will then have an interview with the host organization to ensure that it is a good match, and you also will begin the visa process if necessary.

Academic CreditInterns in Madrid

Our School of Record, Florida A&M University, can issue a transcript for participation in The Intern Group’s internship programs. Each 40 hours of your internship program equates to 1 credit, subject to a minimum of 3 credits and a maximum of 9.

Whether you can receive academic credit for an internship depends on your university’s policies and your individual academic situation. Please carefully read our page on academic credit here.

Program Cost

Our programs have a fee, which covers all of the features described above. Because the programs include housing accommodation, the fee amount depends on the destination and the dates/length of your internship. You can view the exact date options and fee amounts on our website here. Also note that the internships may be either paid or unpaid, subject to the policies of the host company and the visa rules & labor laws in your destination.

Financial Aid and Discounts

Students who receive any of the aid programs listed below receive a discount of US$500. You can also ask our Admissions team about any other discounts which may be available to you, such as special reduced fees for students or graduates of your university or college.
