Program Description:
ESM Sibelius

The Sibelius Academy was established in 1882, was named a state academy in 1980, and became a music university in 1998. As a Finnish art university operating in an international setting, academy activities cross borders and are implemented in close interaction with the surrounding community. Artistic activity, research and education are based on nurturing tradition and renewing musical culture. There are approximately 1430 students enrolled in bachelors, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. You can learn more about the school on their website: http://www.uniarts.fi/en/student-exchange. 

Audition requirements:
  • A video recording is required from the applicants to show the artistic capability of the applicant. The repertoire you wish to play on the recording can be selected freely and a good number is 1-3 pieces. Total length of the recording should not be longer than 20 minutes.
  • You can upload videos in most file formats. The upper limit for the size of the uploaded files is 100MiB. Videos can also be attached as a link to Vimeo, SoundCloud, YouTube or DropBox.
