BONN, GERMANY - SUMMER
Deadline - February 1
Living in Bonn
The EPA program in Germany offers a unique and exciting opportunity to put your language skills into practice not only in the classroom, but in a professional setting. It’s a terrific way to explore your career interests while living and studying in an overseas setting. Bonn is the main administrative center of the program and the base, along with nearby Cologne, for all nonpolitics placements. Cologne is one of the oldest cities in Germany and currently the fourth largest, with a population of over one million people. Cologne is located 20 minutes by train from Bonn.
Internships (Unpaid, Academic, Work Placements)
Politics & Law: Law Firms, Municipal Government, Non-Govt’l Organizations
Business: Advertising/PR, Banking
Health Science: Medical Research, Psychiatry, Psychology, Horseback Riding Therapy
Arts: Museums, Music Management, Radio, Theatre
Education: English, Pre-school/Kindergarten
All internships are unpaid. Summer students intern full time and do not take any classes.
Bonn/Cologne students can live with host families. Short-term apartments and student dormitories are also available.
All internships are in German.
No Visa is required for the programs in Germany because they are less than 90 days in duration. Students will apply for a residency permit after they arrive.
EPA accepts applications from undergraduate students studying at universities and colleges in the United States and Canada with a 3.0 GPA. At this time we do not offer placements for graduate students or students who have recently graduated.
