Program Description:

Living in Bonn

The EPA program in Germany offers a unique and exciting opportunity to put your language skills into practice not only in the classroom, but in a professional setting. It’s a terrific way to explore your career interests while living and studying in an overseas setting. Bonn is the main administrative center of the program and the base, along with nearby Cologne, for all nonpolitics placements. Berlin is the base of a satellite program for politics students. For all students the program begins with orientation in Bonn and then students either remain in Bonn/Cologne or move to Berlin, depending on the internship selection. Bonn is also home to 16 United Nations organizations and a prestigious university, providing a rich cultural and social life. Cologne is one of the oldest cities in Germany and currently the fourth largest, with a population of over one million people. Cologne is located 20 minutes by train from Bonn.
